After being hit in the head during the second T20 International (T20I) against Sri Lanka at Dharamsala, India batter Ishan Kishan was taken to the hospital and had a brain scan. In the contest, Kishan hit a 15-ball 16 and was bowled by Lahiru Kumara with a bouncer in the fourth over of the innings. A concussion test was then performed by the medical staff on the field.

“After getting struck on the head by Lahiru Kumara bouncer, Ishan Kishan was brought to Fortis Hospital for a brain scan,” a BCCI source informed PTI. “As a preventive measure, he remained at the hospital overnight.”

The BCCI is awaiting the results of the scan, as Kishan is anticipated to return to the Team hotel shortly. However, there is a possibility that the Southpaw will be rested for the series finale on Sunday. In such a situation, either Mayank Agarwal or Venkatesh Iyer, along with captain Rohit Sharma, may begin the batting. Due to injury, batsmen Ruturaj Gaikwad and Suryakumar Yadav, as well as bowler Deepak Chahar, have already been ruled out of the series. India has already clinched the three-match T20I series after winning the first and second games by seven wickets and 62 runs, respectively.
